Here's what happens at your first visit, and a few things that help it go smoothly.

First visit: 90 minutes, capped at $395.

We'll have a chat. About your health, anything that's bothering you, past visits to the dentist and what you'd like from your teeth.
A careful look. Your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth, with digital X-rays only where they'll help.
We'll show you. What we find, on screen and in plain English, so you see what we see.
Options and costs, in writing. What we'd suggest first, the alternatives, and a written plan with itemised costs. Nothing goes ahead until you're happy with it.
Your first visit, all in one
Your first appointment is one 90-minute visit: an examination with the dentist of your choice, and a gum check and clean with one of our hygienists. It's capped at $395, and everything below is included. With a health fund, the gap you pay on the day will usually be less, depending on your level of cover.
- An unhurried examination and consultation, with the dentist of your choice.
- Digital X-rays, where needed. Talked through with you first and taken only where clinically indicated.
- A gum check and a full clean with one of our hygienists, finished with Airflow GBT where it suits you. If you need more than a routine clean, such as treatment for gum disease, we'll explain what's involved and the cost first.
- Fluoride treatment, where it will help. We'll talk it through on the day, and it's included if you go ahead.
If you're in pain and need to be seen soon, that's a shorter appointment that deals with the problem first. We'll tell you the cost when you call.
Eligible children are seen under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule with no gap to pay for covered services, up to their available benefit. We'll check eligibility and the remaining balance with you first.
A few practical things
What to bring. Your Medicare and health fund cards, a list of any medicines you take, and any recent X-rays or plans from your last dentist.
Health funds. We claim on the spot through HICAPS with most health funds, so you usually just pay the gap on the day. We have no preferred-provider arrangements with any fund.
Paying. HICAPS, EFTPOS and card, cash and Afterpay.
Kids. Welcome from their first tooth.

Getting here. A large, free car park on site, and step-free from your car all the way inside.
